UNDECORATED's brand name, meaning "unadorned," is its very concept. To allow for an appreciation of the material's texture, we always prioritize meaningful material production and garment creation, adopting an approach that "first selects the material, then designs for that material." This journal is a series that introduces the key stories of the brand, from material creation to design philosophy. This time, we'd like to introduce "Washable Cotton Stripe Cloth," a material that is both supple and crisp.

The maximum number of threads that can be woven on a domestic loom is approximately 130 warp threads and 70 weft threads. This time, we wanted to use an 80-count fine cotton yarn to create a fabric with a crispness similar to pant material. Therefore, we used an ultra-high-density loom to weave it in China, achieving a density of 160 warp threads and 90 weft threads. The resulting fabric is both supple and crisp.



You might think, "With such crispness, won't it feel a bit stiff to the touch?" However, by using long-staple Supima cotton, which is characterized by its high oil content and smoothness, we have ensured a pleasant feel against the skin. The finishing touch is a washer process that softens the entire fabric, giving it a natural, washed-out texture.

A shirt dress characterized by its A-line silhouette. The sleeves are about 5-6分 (five to six tenths) length with cuffed sleeves.
