Story of the Material - Organic Cotton Twill Fabric -
The very meaning of "undecorated" in the brand name is the concept behind UNDECORATED. To allow customers to feel the wonder of the materials, we take an approach of "first deciding on the material, then designing for that material," striving for meaningful material creation and garment production.
This journal is a series that introduces the brand's key stories, from material creation to designこだわり (attention to detail). This time, we will introduce "Organic Cotton Twill Cloth," which is woven at high density from carefully selected raw materials under strict standards.
We created a high-density twill cloth using 20/-yarn certified by "GOTS," the global standard for organic cotton. This raw material not only boasts excellent quality but also strictly meets demanding SDGs criteria such as "Is it finished with processes that have minimal environmental impact? Are the raw materials used correctly?" In the finishing process, a treatment called "Cool Crush" is applied, which minimizes the amount of water used, resulting in a natural feel and a moderately crisp texture.

We paid close attention to every detail to maintain the softness and moderate roughness of organic cotton, its unique texture and feel, while also achieving a tough, military-inspired look. The collar is compact for a modern impression, but the bold pockets on the front firmly retain the classic military aesthetic. The fabric is pre-washed to prevent indigo color fading.
The unique color of the black butterfly shell buttons expresses modernity. Black butterfly shells are also used as mother-of-pearl for making pearls, and are also known as black mother-of-pearl. They have a luster that gives a very elegant impression.
