and UNDECORATED will be holding a solo exhibition titled "IN THE FLOW" by Seoul-based international artist Soohyeon Kim starting September 11th.

Born in Korea in 1992, Kim studied art at the Royal College of Art in the UK, where she earned her master's degree.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, she began her professional career.
Kim creates her works by mimicking processes occurring in the natural world.

Her artistic practice explores concepts such as time, repetition, accumulation, process, and labor.

The paraffin wax chips used in her works transform over time into naturally formed objects through a continuously repeating unique ecosystem developed by Kim.

In this exhibition, titled "IN THE FLOW", you can observe the process of paraffin wax melting due to the heat of light and accumulating minutely over nine days, naturally forming a work using this repetitive ecosystem.

Furthermore, this installation gains meaning by being repeatedly executed over a long period, and the state where viewers forget the passage of time experienced through the work ultimately leads to the "layers of time" that the artist explores.

We sincerely look forward to your visit.
