Fabric Review 2022 Spring / Summer
Organic Cotton Twill Cloth
Organic Cotton 100%
This twill cloth is made using 20/- organic cotton yarn certified by GOTS, the global standard for organic cotton. The yarn was woven at high density after clearing strict standards such as "Is it finished with processes that have low environmental impact? Is the raw material used correctly?"
Washi Rayon Yarn (Scheduled for release in mid-February)
Washi 54% Rayon 46%
This series is made from washi (Japanese paper). While maintaining the refreshing feel unique to washi, we added a pleasant touch against the skin to create a moist, drapey texture. The answer to the question, "Can clothes be made from washi?" will be introduced at a later date, we hope.
Recycle Nylon Organic Cotton Cloth (Scheduled for release in mid-February)
Cotton 65% Nylon 35%
This typewriter fabric is made from recycled nylon yarn and organic cotton. The nylon yarn used is GRS-certified recycled yarn from industrial waste. The outer side has a nylon-like appearance, but the reverse side has a soft cotton feel. This series is also environmentally friendly.
Recycle Organic Cotton Terry (Scheduled for release in early March)
Recycle Organic Cotton 100%
This is a super-compact back fleece that deeply pursues a comfortable feel, using recycled organic yarn spun from fallen organic cotton on the surface and Suvin cotton, a highly oily, extra-long staple cotton, on the reverse. While retaining the plumpness of back fleece, it is knitted on a 32-gauge high-gauge machine, aiming for a towel-like feel.
This fabric is so special that the designer himself felt, "This is great!" We will introduce more details when it is released, so please look forward to it.
Linen Cotton Washable Cloth (Scheduled for release in mid-March)
Cotton 55% Linen 45%
This fabric is a blend of originally spun Supima cotton and high-quality fine count linen yarn harvested in the Flanders region. For ivory, both yarns are intentionally undyed, maintaining the natural color of the material itself. For navy, the warp and weft were dyed slightly differently to give the material depth. The feel is slightly different between the dyed and undyed versions... more details will be introduced at a later date.
"Kansai Noguchi" Cloth (Scheduled for release in late March)
Cotton 100%
This is a collaboration project that integrates potter Kansai Noguchi's drawing "Reincarnation" into textiles. To express the delicate touch, it was hand-printed in three stages at a printing factory in Yokohama, one of Japan's leading hand-printing facilities, to reproduce the subtle shades of the brushstrokes.
