UNDECORATED - Announcement of Solo Exhibition by Ceramic Artist Tomohiro Uchida
UNDECORATED presents "to UNDECORATED", a gallery-style lifestyle project that values connections between "people", "things", and "experiences".
- When you meet wonderful people
- When you discover things you love
- When you eat delicious food
The sense of elation you feel in such moments makes our lives just a little more pleasant.
This project, which expresses itself through "people", "things", and "experiences", will host lifestyle-oriented events to foster a comfortable community through the UNDECORATED filter.
From May 3rd (Tuesday), we will be holding a solo exhibition by ceramist Tomohiro Uchida.
After graduating from Izumi Ceramics College, Mr. Uchida apprenticed under Taizo Kuroda, who is globally renowned for his serene white porcelain. Sadly, Taizo Kuroda passed away in 2021, but his works are still cherished around the world. Mr. Uchida was Taizo Kuroda's last apprentice. His works are characterized by their soft and warm appearance, despite having thin and tense outlines.
This solo exhibition will feature not only vases that can also serve as objets d'art, but also plates and cups that are easy to use in daily life. It is a space where you can feel the good old traditions of Japan. Please take this opportunity to appreciate the unique appearance and functional beauty of white porcelain.
And from UNDECORATED, we will be selling our spring/summer collection, new homewear, and online-exclusive items. You can hold and try on the items. Please also take a look at these.
