Organic Cotton 100%

We use Turkish organic cotton harvested in the Izmir region of the Mediterranean. By harvesting this yarn mechanically rather than by hand, impurities are prevented, resulting in a clean fabric. The fabric, carefully woven over time by artisans using old-style shuttle looms that can only weave at about 1/20th the speed of modern machines, is characterized by its puffy texture with an uneven surface. After weaving, the fabric is washed and kneaded to further enhance its texture.
