We use Turkish organic cotton harvested in the Izmir region of the Mediterranean. This yarn is intentionally harvested by machine rather than by hand to prevent debris from mixing in, resulting in a clean fabric. The fabric, carefully woven over time by artisans using old-fashioned shuttle looms that can only weave at about 1/20th the normal speed, is characterized by its plump texture with a bumpy feel. The finished fabric is washed and massaged to further enhance its texture.
