These drinking glasses are made by glass artist Yoko Yamano-Andersson, whose work is informed by two cultures: Sweden and Japan.
The subtle variations unique to handmade objects reflect light in a beautiful, clear way.

Since 2001, Yamano-Andersson has studied glassmaking techniques in Småland, southern Sweden (a mecca for the glass industry), Finland, and Venice. In 2004, she moved to Stockholm to pursue a master's degree in ceramics and glass at Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design). She is now based in Gustavsberg, where she has a studio and continues her glassmaking activities.
In 2011, she received a cultural award from the City of Stockholm, and in 2014, the Swedish Parliament acquired her work. She has exhibited her pieces not only in the EU but also in the UK, Serbia, and Japan. Through her life's work, "Glass Tableware in Still Life," she explores and expresses various perspectives on the role of glass tableware.
